About the event
On May 17, 2025, the Jaguar AutoSport & Touring Club held a luncheon meeting in a private room at Corky Bell’s Seafood in East Palatka. Our 24 attending club members filled the dining room to capacity and spirited conversation was heard from all participants. The restaurant received high marks for its variety and quality of menu items and the service was superb.
Beforehand, a dozen club members caravaned down the scenic Eastside of the St Johns River and were afforded beautiful views of the river and the canopy of live oak tree in route to Corky Bell’s.
After lunch, David and Ruth Gillespie graciously invited us to visit their nearby shop in Palatka and to immerse ourselves in the magnificent collection of vintage classic automobiles. This was a unique opportunity to view the Gillespie Automotive Collection and to learn all about their restoration process.
