About the event

If you've ever wondered where you can safely experience the true performance of your Jaguar, look no further than the Lake County Tech Center at 13,000 Frankie's Road in Tavares, Florida. This outstanding facility is a Jaguar enthusiast's playground—a vast expanse of smooth pavement with nothing to hit except the soft orange traffic cones that define the official JCNA Slalom Course.

Known to most automotive enthusiasts as an autocross, the JCNA Slalom is a fun, low-speed precision driving event that emphasizes driver skill rather than outright horsepower. Starting from a standing start, drivers navigate a challenging course marked by traffic cones at speeds generally not exceeding 35 mph. Each run is electronically timed, allowing participants to compare their performance against their own previous runs, fellow competitors in their class, and Jaguar drivers across North America.

Whether you're a first-time participant or an experienced competitor, the JCNA Slalom is designed for drivers of all skill levels. It's an ideal opportunity to discover what your Jaguar was engineered to do in a safe, controlled environment—without the risks of public roads. Vehicle preparation is minimal: simply check your tire pressures, put on an approved helmet, and you're ready to have fun. Because every JCNA affiliate follows the same course format and timing procedures, your scores become part of the national JCNA Slalom Championship program, with annual awards recognizing top performers throughout the country.

Just as entertaining for spectators as it is for drivers, the Slalom offers plenty of excitement as Jaguars of every vintage and model gracefully weave through the course, showcasing both driver finesse and automotive agility.

Make plans to join us on November 14 for a day of driving, camaraderie, and Jaguar fun. You may drive directly to the venue Saturday morning, or make it a weekend getaway by joining fellow JATC members and the JCOF event organizers on Friday evening 11/13 for dinner at O'Keefe's Irish Pub in Tavares, followed by an overnight stay at the nearby Comfort Inn.

To cap off a terrific day, our FCOF host Ian Crawford has graciously invited all participants to enjoy a complimentary lakeside luncheon at his home immediately following the Slalom—a wonderful opportunity to relax, share stories from the course, and enjoy the fellowship that makes our club so special.

While all club members and their vehicles are welcome, we especially encourage everyone to bring their Jaguars. After all, they were born to run—and this is the perfect place to let them shine!
